There's no lack of "old-world" charm at this "historic" Downtown property, built in 1855 and reported to be America's longest continuously operating hotel; the staff knows how to "make special occasions truly special" – perhaps that's why former president John F. Kennedy held his bachelor party here – and Parker's Restaurant, which still serves all "the standards" including the namesake rolls, is a nostalgic favorite; just beware that the "shoebox-size" rooms, though "newly renovated", "make steerage on a cruise ship seem spacious."

Cheerful &attentive staff; Exquisite beds and bedding.
There was nothing to dislike about hotel or staff.

I cannot say enough about how wonderful this hotel stay was!! It exceeded my expectations in every way from the doorman, concierge, desk clerk; location was phenomenal-walk to North End, TD Banknorth etc; Room 712 overlooked King's Chapel and Old City Hall and Govt Ctr in the distance. Beautifully renovated, but retains the Old World Charm!! Loved It.

It was so well-located. Close to Central Park, restaurants, subway, and Lincoln Center.
The sleeping room was very, very small and a little too minimalist.

The hotel is very "atmospheric". There is no name on the exterior--just a flaming sconce and a glimpse of the chartreuse-lit escalator through the glass doors. The lobby is quite dark and the decor is interestingly artistic, eclectic, old world and western combined with modern. There may be a great "scene" going on in the equally atmospheric lounge, but my husband and I didn't stop to see. Frankly, the hotel seemed a little young for us--we're in our 50s. ...read more

It's a beautiful, friendly hotel with excellent service!
It would be nice if they had a swimming pool.

The Omni Parker House is a beautifully maintained historical property with an excellent, central location and plenty of charm. Decent room service menu, great service and lots of perks for guests who join their loyalty program. ...read more

The hotel itself was very nice.
The location of the hotel made it hard to sleep, lots of outside noise.

This hotel was very nice. Everything was a bit over priced. The location made it hard to sleep as outside noise was so loud that it sounded like it was in your room. There was also lots of drunk guests yelling in the halls at 4 am. ...read more

Good location.
Very small rooms, very small bathrooms, and the fire alarm going off at 2:00 am did not help.

Old, refurbished once quite nice hotel, far outstripped by its newer competition. While the rooms have been redone, the size of the rooms holds it back. I was traveling alone, I can't imagine if my wife was along how we would have managed. ...read more

Room was clean and warm, shower had lots of hot water.
Not much bureau/closet space, bed was comfortable but too high.

Our two-bed room was clean but small with not much bureau or closet space. The high mattresses made it difficult to get into the beds, but they were comfortable. Small shower had plenty of hot water. I didn't use WiFi but I saw people using laptops in the lobby. Overall, a pleasant stay. ...read more
